Many people do not have a clear understanding of what a curse actually is. They imagine curses only in terms of black magic, rituals, or witchcraft. In reality, black magic is nothing more than speaking out curses – words filled with complaint, criticism, and condemnation.

Most people who believe they are walking in the footsteps of holiness are, without realizing it, constantly speaking curses. Every time we complain, criticize, or condemn, we criticize behavior, attack character and nature, or even criticize relationships. By doing so, we attack actions, attack self-image, and attack dreams. This is, in fact, doing the work of the adversary.

By contrast, when we choose blessing, we speak with praise, honor, and love. This allows us to honor behavior, honor character and nature, and honor relationships. In return, we reinforce actions, reinforce self-image, and reinforce dreams.

This is the essence of divine truth: to bless, not to curse; to love, not to condemn. That is why I am spreading this information: to make people aware of their words and intentions. Once we recognize how our speech shapes the world around us, we can self-correct—choosing blessing over cursing, love over judgment—and create a better, more life-giving reality for ourselves and those around us.
